After his canon, Miyuki received a generous baseball scholarship offer from a school in Kagawa, Shikoku, that had years prior won the College Championships. After consideration, he took the offer, but over the course of his sophomore and junior years, he damaged his right knee enough that a professional career was no longer on the table, and instead he threw himself into his actual major: journalism.
